In the process of upgrading from Partner to Certified Partner, with Oracle's 10g database track, Irus sponsored several of its employees to become Oracle Certified Professionals. Each certification required self-study, classroom training, and exams, all which carried a cost. The Irus Group funded the certification efforts, and in turn in the employee's development. Each employee completing the certifications had prior experience with Oracle database, and this extra step complemented their experience.
